Dear Current OnRequest™ Users,

We’d like to invite you to our booth at the MASMS’s fall conference and trade show, “Financing the Future.” Advanced Planning Technologies, Inc. will be showcasing some of the features of our new application “NetRequest™” and gather input of features you would like to see.

We’d like to take a moment to familiarize you with our upcoming application, “NetRequest™.”

APT’s staff has been working with CAFM for over 16 years. During this time, we have seen many applications, methods, philosophies and procedures come and go. We realized that for every task you need to do, you have to purchase another piece of software to add to the existing applications you have… then hope they work together to accomplish the task at hand. APT decided to undertake the task of creating and developing an all-inclusive program. Everything you do will be contained within one application. Whether it be CAD, reviewing blue prints, proposing new floor plan layouts, producing work orders, scheduling, preventive maintenance, organizing, delegating or presenting. NetRequest™ will handle it all with one clean sweep.

Some of the new features of NetRequest™ include:

  • A Universal Language: The Web. APT has developed the first WEB based CAD program, which allows you to share drawings with anyone anywhere. Change drawings/floor plans over the Internet or Intranet. If you change the location of a wall, another user on the other side of the state will see that change if you allow them to. All existing CAD programs have been developed as a stand-alone system on a single user’s computer…until now.
  • Image Library: Along with the new image icons NetRequest™ will incorporate the current icon sets you see and use. You will have the power to incorporate actual photographs of district assets as placed, data-rich images in your icon library. APT has also implemented actual photo images of objects to be used as icons within your project. Users can actually place the picture of a chair, desk, fire extinguisher; a picture on a wall can be placed into your project.
  • Blue Print Archives: NetRequest™ has implemented a tool bar button that opens a link to the actual blue prints for your district’s buildings (provided they have been scanned or are available in a universal format, i.e. Adobe Acrobat Viewer). With the click of a button, NetRequest™ loads your blue prints by Creation Date. Each set of blue prints is identified as a folder and within the folder are sub-folders of the Architectural, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Structural, Engineering, etc. plans. It’s all organized and easy to access, saving valuable time. You’ll be able to quickly locate, then digitally mark-up original blue prints on-screen and send them to a contractor, architect, and engineer, or present them at a board meeting.
  • Work Orders and Preventive Maintenance: Creating, tracking, implementing or modifying work orders will be one of the new integrated features of the NetRequest™ CAFM technology. Scheduling common or unique tasks that occur daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, etc…
  • Scheduling: You will be able to schedule rooms, activities and events within the system.
  • Document Linking: Within the records/tables, you will be able to link important documents such as MSDS, Schematics, Parts Lists, etc. At the click of a mouse, these documents will load quickly.
  • Color Coding: This feature allows you to color individual spaces, departments, wings, floor levels, etc. with different classifications. The color codes are named and saved, allowing you to toggle between them based on your current task.
  • Database: The database backend allows users to describe any item in a drawing, create project level data, and is the engine behind the reporting tool. Furthermore, the databases’ ability goes beyond traditional relational database capabilities by allowing users to generate reports based on spatial information about drawing elements.
  • Advanced Technology: APT is harnessing the new wave of technology and utilizing it to create and application for you. We are not creating add-ons to dated methods; we are breaking new ground with NetRequest™, incorporating CAFM, World Wide Web (3-W), Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) and Structured Query Language (SQL) into a concise, intuitive package. NetRequest™ makes use of existing CAD graphics (when available) by translating them into SVG which is compliant with current technology. If need be, you can even reverse the technology to export it back out to .dwg and .dxf files again for those applications that will soon be out dated as time goes by.

We encourage you to give us feedback to help us create a better, faster, easier and more efficient application via NetRequest™. Basic functionality of the application is nearing completion and we are seeking input on specific capablilites or features you need to make your job easier. Please forward your suggestions to us; it’s our tradition to incorporate YOUR needs into our products, and our mission to make your job easier.

We sincerely hope you feel the enthusiasm we have for NetRequest™ and share our passion for advancing CAFM into the future!

Thank you,
Advanced Planning Technologies, Inc.
