APT, Inc. would
like to invite you to the next OnRequest™ Users Group meeting
to be held February 24th, 2005. The meeting will be held at the
Richfield School District from 10AM until 2PM. Richfield School
District Administrative offices are located at 7001 Harriet Avenue
S., Richfield. Detailed directions will be sent to you in January.
Highlights of
the meeting include a demonstration by Advanced Planning Technologies,
Inc. of OnRequest NET, and a presentation by Kraus Andersen Facilities
Group showing innovative ways to incorporate standard MS Office
programs using the data stored in your OnRequest™project.
Some
features of OnRequest NET:
OnRequest NET
beta
OnRequest NET
betaleverages the power of the Internet to provide the most up
to date information about your facilities. Distribution of your
OnRequest™ data will still be safe and secure, but you can
publish the information much easier via the WEB. Casual users
can access just the portions of your project you want them to
see. (User names and password determine which portions of your
project they can view.)
•
Networked – The application stores all data relevant
to your organization on a central server powered by MySQL. This
allows all data modifications to be realized system wide as they
are made. While OnRequest NET requires a network connection it
does not run within an Internet browser. OnRequest™ users
will download the latest version of OnRequest NET the first time
they log in to the server housing their project. This allows for
more working space and a more intuitive user interface. Updates
from ongoing development will be available immediately.
•
Vector Graphics – Floor plans, site maps, etc.
are rendered in Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) allowing for precision
and crisp presentation.
•
Global Icon Library – Icons made available by Advanced
Planning Technologies, Inc. are warehoused in a global library.
The library sorts icons into categories and allows for keyword
searches. Any updates to icons made by Advanced Planning Technologies,
Inc. are instantly reflected system-wide.
•
Report Writing – Because all data is stored in
a single location all reports will contain the most recent information
about your facilities. In addition, our new report writer will
be much more robust than the Aperture report writer in use now.
