Modify
Selected objects is a convenient method
to make changes to the data base records
for a group of objects. First, select
a group of objects you wish to modify.
Open the edit records window and make
the change in the first data record.
With the cursor in the data record and
field you wish to make global changes
on, select Modify Selected objects from
the pull-down menu. Click on the change
button and the change to object data
record number one will be made to all
the remaining selected objects data
records.
With
modify selected objects you can:
• Attach records to many objects
• Delete records from many objects
• Replace records on many objects
• Make changes to a field in the
same record of many objects
• Attach a record, enter data
to all fields in the record, then attach
the same record to many objects
To
modify selected objects:
• Select the objects to be modified
• Open the edit records window
• Make the modifications to the
record and/or field(s)
• Select Modify Selected objects
from the Edit Records pull-down menu
• Select Change, Attach, Replace
or Delete as desired
• Click on Change/Attach/Delete/Replace
