OnRequest™ Support: Printing Reports and Drawings

Printing Reports

Page Setup/Printer Setup *Paper Size *Orientation *Printer Effects

When the appropriate setup has been selected you can print the report from the active window by selecting Print from the File menu.

Printing Drawings

Print Window - You can print just the contents of the drawing window on one sheet of paper by choosing Print Window from the File menu. OnRequest™ will scale the contents of the window so it fills the sheet. This is useful when you want to print a portion of the drawing. A quick method of printing portions of a drawing is to use the variable zoom tool to zoom tightly to the area you wish to print, then use the print window command to print the desired area.

Manual option - You can also print all or a portion of the drawing to a specific scale by choosing Drawing Size from the File menu. This brings up a dialog box allowing input of the following:
• Number of pages
• Output Scale Factor
• Unit on Paper - Unit on Drawing
• Print Order
• Place Paper on Drawing - Pick corner, Position paper outline on drawing

To use manual print set-up:
• Use printer setup under the File pull-down menu to select the page size and orientation
• Use the measure distance tool under the Edit pull-down menu to find the size of the drawing area you will be printing
• Select drawing size from the File pull-down menu to bring up the dialogue box above
• Select the number of sheets to be used in the print process
• Enter the useable paper size into the Unit on Paper box
• Enter the distance determined with the measure distance tool into the Unit on Drawing box
• Click on Place Paper on Dwg button to bring up the position paper dialogue box
• Select a sheet placement button and click on the Place Paper Outline on Drawing button
• Position the paper outline on the drawing
• Select the print command from the File pull-down menu
